How does 'specialist' work when volunteers go home?

Postby David Murphy » Wed Jun 09, 2010 10:30 am

Now that the summer is here, and many of our volunteers are students off home for their hols, gaps evidently start to appear in programming. The issues with daytime can be resolved with automation or more importantly brining in new volunteers.

However specialist shows are more of an issue over the holidays, as they are shows created by individuals or show teams who keep to their reputations and genres of music, therefore would be simple to 'cover' for them if they had left? Or replace the show temporarily? How do we ensure we have shows going out at times people listen, and more importantly new volunteers get the chance to do the shows they want to do?
