Want a chance to edit your own news and be part of a team presenting the news on radio shows across the board, getting a taste for radio presentation, programming and research?
We need you, the volunteers, to research, preapre and come in to the studio to read out the latest headlines to keep the listeners informed throughout the day! You don't have to present, you can even just write the news and send it in for us, or you can write online stories in our News Team section of the website!
Its all good experience to get on your CV these days, and you get to meet a whole plethora of show teams as you present the news on their shows. The hours are flexible so you can choose which hours or days you do, or you can even go out across Leicester and bring us the latest news and weather from where it occurs!
So there are plenty of chances to get involved in the station and get your voice heard. You don't have to have a news background, just a good clear voice and the commitment to come in at random times and research beforehand. It is a fun experience, and no matter how easy people think it is to produce the news, let them know you've put your time and effort into it, besides reading the news so often!
