Get Involved
DemonFM is a community radio station run almost entirely by its volunteers. From presenting and producing to developing and engineering, we welcome anyone who shares an interest and passion in radio and broadcasting. If you are interested in getting involved, take a look at some of our areas.
Music
Being part of the music team involves sourcing and tracking music for the station, reviewing singles and album for any shows, selecting playlist based on the listeners preferences, making contact with bands and venues, and liaising with record companies for latest releases.
Production
Production involves developing content for our shows, planning features, events, competitions, phone interviews, live interviews, recording and editing content, tracking contacts and helping people in the studios. Production also involves making promos, jingles and music beds for shows. Making non-music based show information such as radio dramas and documentaries, promos and the news. Programme producers have a irresponsibility to post show content to the DemonFM website, and to ensure that the presenters and guests follow the broadcasting and DemonFM codes of conduct.
Presenting
Presenting shows and features, interviewing guests, running the desk for a live show, developing features and ides to make shows appeal to the DemonFM audience. Community Liaison: Talking to different community groups, creating and promoting events for the community, talking to schools and colleges and helping volunteers get involved with the station.
Technical
